If you request some help :
Don't be too specific but don't be too vague. It's rather hard to find the right way to ask but imagine yourself in a room with other players. You can't whisper and you need to solve a riddle, you have the right to ask for a clue those who have already solved it, but you don't want the other players to find before you. To understand what you're asking for, one should be at the same step. Don't spoil the steps for the others ! You can use metaphors if you want. Show us that you're smart!
Read this topic carefully, your question may have already been asked (and answered). There's no need to ask the same question twice, even if there's no answer.
If you help somebody :
Don't help him too much, don't deprive him the pleasure to find by himself, just guide him on the way without being too specific, using as much images, metaphors and maybe other riddles as you can. After all, you're smart too !
If everybody plays by the rules, things will be much more funny and no one will get hurt.

Is there a clue somewhere that tells us which years of those events to use? and the meaning of the 'persons' mentioned at the end of the numbers?..I understand the concept, just can't find a starting point...do we need the very first?

Once you have these five y****, Google can help you finding ten places, and their 2255464 26337, right?

Clue is a dead ringer. Pay attention to the page title and look closer at the riddle.

Check out Swan's hints above, and it might help to give the middle finger of your right hand (as opposed to the index) a work-out for once.

I am absolutely stuck at this puzzle. I know the 5 years, and the 10 cities that go with the years. for the 2255464 26337, do I use both the country and city or just the city, or what? Also, what do multiple females have anything to do with this? how can i subtract them?

Routhouni: first of all, watch your mouth. How can you get to level 60 without learning not to give away stuff in the forum. But besides that, help is what you need and what I'll give:
you don't need to know the names of any cities, and look up what 2255464 26337 is. As for subtraction, once you figure out what all those numbers mean and do all the math, you should hopefully figure out what and how to subtract, thought the last subtraction with the 96636 seems a bit arbitrary.

I have everything I need, or everything I think I need. I just don't know what to do with it or where it is I am supposed to go now. What am I working towards?

OK confused. I thought I only had one subtraction that I need to do. This implies there is more than one.
I thought I'd gotten this, although trying it with specific places gave me a positive number at the end and trying it with less specific places (as advised above) gives me a negative number. Neither seems to give me what I want.
I think I (also?) may not have gotten what 96636 is...
Just to clarify what I thought 96636 was
Spoiler:
the number of 96636 participating each year

sorry lipstick, all I meant was that there is multiple math function to do, but only one subtraction. If you know all the 2255464 26337, for the correct places, than it should end up positive. You also need to figure out is which year's 96636 you need. And your answer is a number *************(not quite this long).764 it doesn't translate:(
