I have done the obvious actions to collect some information but I don't know how to use that information. I have tried quite a few combinations and operations but no results yet. Furthermore, I have no clues about how to use the clue. I've not given up but I could use a little nudge. Is the absence of the google bar telling me that google is not needed to solve this riddle?

Well... except if you're a super-duper fan/specialist of the subject of the riddle and you know absolutly everything by heart, you would need Google.
I think the absence of the Google bar on the clue page is an omission.
To start you off I'd say go for the obvious : What are you looking at ?

Yeah, there should have been a Google bar...sorry about that. The clue also won't be helpful until you've figured out what the information is referring to. This one is tough...
