now if a movie ever kicked my ass and told me, "you will sh*t your brains out if you even try to think about anything except how much I own you," Apocalypse Now would be the one to do it. Becuase that's pretty much what happened after I saw the movie, I couldn't really think about anything, except how much that movie amazed me.
So true. I love Vietnam films, as they are the only films in which Americans cannot chat their constant patriot BullShit. Platoon was another one, with the use of Barber's Adagio for Strings and the aspects of evil of human kind.
Couple of films that i think everyone in this forum will appreciate...
1) IchI the Killer. - Takashi Miike
This film made me hurl and feel like punching myself in the stomach all at the same time. It is also the first film in history where a child is decapitated and it is shown clearly on screen.
I can't quite remember the director, or what actually happened in the story line, all i remember is that it scared me, in all the ways it could.
