M C Escher

MC Escher is one of my favorite artists. most of you have probobly already seen some of his work even if you've never heard his name before in your life. his work is widely recognized even by those who dont know his name. i figured many of you would apreciate some mind boggling works of art here in the forum

Re: M C Escher

Thanks nosh! The man is amazing, and pointilism is so crazy, I can't understand how good he is at it!
Here's a great link to Escher's works. and though the bottom one, his portrait with the sphere, is my favorite, this one is really close: http://britton.disted.camosun.bc.ca/escher/print_gallery.jpg

Re: M C Escher

thanks for the link! i had found that site a few weeks ago but i forgot to save the link, i'd been searching for it ever since. escher has always been one of my favorite artists and i've always felt that he doesnt get acknowledged with the other great artist as much as he deserves.

Re: M C Escher

I really like the picture with the sphere too. But I think my favorite one is the "drawing hands":

Re: M C Escher

I think the one that strikes me the most is the drawing of the eye, that then contains a skull in it. It means a lot to many people, means a lot to me aswell.
